Animal Eye Care of Western New York, PC is a specialty practice that exclusively deals with the diagnosis and treatment of animal eye diseases.  We are equipped to treat all types of animals from dogs and cats, rabbits, horses, birds, reptiles, wildlife and more.



Dr. Kimberly Stanz and Dr. Melanie Mineo are board certified in ophthalmology and our licensed veterinary technicians provide the highest level of care, education and understanding to our clients, their pets and referring veterinarians.  We are conveniently located in the Western New York area.




As of Monday March 23rd, Animal Eye Care will no longer be allowing the public into the hospital.  

If you have medications to be picked up, please call the hospital once you have arrived and a technician will bring the medications out to you.  For those who wish to stay home we can mail medications to you. 

If you have an upcoming appointment and it is a routine follow-up, and your pet has no new problems, PLEASE RESCHEDULE. We are RESTRICTING APPOINTMENTS TO EMERGENCY AND URGENT ONLY.  If you are unsure what qualifies, please call and speak with one of the technicians.

Friday 8 to 12 pm Medication pick up and mailing only. 

If you have an upcoming appointment please call us from your vehicle and let us know you have arrived.  A technician will come out to your vehicle, retrieve you pet and bring them into the hospital for their exam. The Doctor attending your pet will call you and speak with you over the phone about their exam. 

Once the appointment is finished, the technician will cash you out over the phone and will bring your pet, discharge summary and medications back out to you.

Our Mission


  • To provide quality and compassionate eye care of companion animals (dogs, cats, horses, birds and small mammals).  
  • To interact and consult with the veterinarians in general practice regarding specific eye conditions.
  •  To offer eye surgical services for the treatment of cataracts, corneal diseases, eyelid tumors, (cryo surgery),  correction for eyelid abnormalities and glaucoma.
  •  To provide a service for dog breeders by screening the eyes for genetic disorders (OFA and CAER examinations) and assist  breeders in diagnosis and treatment of congenital or viral disorders.
